The importance of knowing english language
Is it important to know English? Yes, everybody knows the most important language is English. English is the national language and also the foreign language .Why knowing English is so important? Now, let me tell you. First, English language is the fourth most widely spoken in worldwide. English is regarded as international language by the people in east and west .Every country has international trade. The good trade communication use English to communicate.
Many people who come to foreign country such as England, America, Australia, New Zealand and other use English to communicate. So you must know English. The next fact I’m sharing with you is finding a job in this competitive society. Every boss is looking for qualified, talented, smart and confident employees. For example if you apply for a high class job and when you go for the interview, do you know what kind of employees are going to be hired up?
Obviously as I mentioned above qualified, talented, smart and confident employees with fluent English.
So knowing English is very important. How do we communicate with others people in foreign countries who do not speak their mother tongue? The answer is using English because everyone knows at least a little English. English helps to rise up tourism because it’s easy to communicate with the foreigners. Just think about how hard to communicate if tourist guides and the tourist didn’t know at least a little English.
English language makes the things go easier that’s what I think. Books! A famous foreign book is written in English language so you must know the English language to gain some knowledge, to learn something new or to read more. Even Sinhalese books are translated to English language so that foreigners can read and enjoy and on the other hand foreign books which are not written in English are translated to English language so that anyone who knows English well can read those books too.
The next reason is internet. Almost all the information sharing on the internet is in English so you must know English to understand what it is all about and also to communicate other people through internet. Last but not least, the higher education lesson in overseas also use English. The lecturer also explains his lesson with English. So, when you want to study higher education, knowing English is very important. Therefor English is essential.
Base on the importance of knowing English that I have say, we know that if we don’t know English, we cannot find a high class job, cannot communicate with foreign country people, cannot study higher education and other. Consequently, by speaking and using English every day, we can improve our English and acquire mastery of English.
